Demon Pendant
This pendant was designed in response to a commission to create a
piece using themes from African masks. I wanted to avoid ‘obvious’
interpretations and use extant themes from my other works - pieces
based on maps of chaotic systems - melding the two ideas into a
whole. The piece is made from scored and folded silver, set with
hand-carved amber and hung from silicone rubber. The rubber cord is
further decorated with silver spheres and carved teak, reclaimed
from an old desk.
