Necklace bezel settings turn around

Hi Terrie,

Another possibility, is to use Tubing for the bail.

It’s not a pendant I’m having trouble with, and I do often make
tubes to use as bails on pendants. It’s the elements in a necklace I
have been having difficulties with but I think the problem will be
solved by following the advice of most people who answered my query
suggesting that I solder my jump rings on at 10 and 2 o’clock rather
than 9 and 3 o’clock (which I had been doing) on all but the central
elements.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people call pendants necklaces which can
cause confusion. To me a pendant is a single element on a chain of
some sort, and a necklace is composed of multiple elements connected
together - and it is necklaces that I’ve been having trouble with,
but a few have thought I was talking about pendants.

Thanks for the thought though Terrie and taking the time to reply. I
am very fond of the look of tube bails on pendants.

Hi Don,

Many thanks for your suggestions re making necklace bezel settings.
Your solution agrees with everyone else who has replied, so I’m
figuring that that must be my problem. I will from now on be
soldering my jump ring connections at 10 and 2 o’clock rather than 9
and 3 o’clock.

Thanks again to you and everyone else who has given me advice on
this.
