NCSG meeting and social

The North Carolina Society of Goldsmiths <www.ncsg.net> have their
board meeting and annual social Sunday, October 26. The board
meeting is at 1:00 P.M. and the social starts at 2:00 P.M. We will
vote for officers at this meeting between the board meeting and
social. Anyone in or near the state of NC is encouraged to attend
both or either meetings, whether professional or amateur.

During the board meeting we will be discussing and making decisions
about workshops, guild member shows, the 2004 budget, our 501c tax
exempt status, changes to the newsletter, web site concerns,
relevancy issues and the 2004 board meeting schedule just to mention
a few.

During the catered social we will have a slide show consisting of
work from those who bring slides. We also encourage those who would
like to bring examples of their work. Personally, I’ll be bringing
both slides and work. We also have door prizes and unless we have a
surge in normal attendance, everybody will go home with something.
This is a great time to purchase from our surplus tool inventory and
a good way to get some cool tools and support NCSG, too.

The meeting will be held at the Homestead Center in Chapel hill.
