My lesson in purchasing ring blank with bezel

This was the first time I had purchased a ring blank to set a
stone in. When I saw it in the magazine it appeared to have a bezel
type setting with four prongs. I thought was simply going to be
able and push the floral looking bezel and prongs up against the
gemstone. After it arrived, I quickly realized after trying to push
the floral like bezel and prongs that nothing was going to
budge!....

I have this same mounting and have used it. In order to get the
prongs to bend into place, you have to take a small file and make a
notch in each prong and the area you want to bend. Place the stone
into place and then mark with a pen, file and then bend. You don’t
have to remove the glue. I hope this helps someone.
