Montreal Jewelry Attractions

Hi,

Where are some inspiring galleries and useful tool/metals/supplies
shops to visit while in Montreal?

Thanks,
b

Bethany

I am originally from Montreal and now live in Calgary. There are two
main jewellery buildings in downtown Montreal at 620 Cathcart and
606 Cathcart (not sure if 606 is correct, but it is just across the
street from 620.

Most of the wholesalers in these buildings will only sell to people
in the trade. Generally a business card is all you need to get in.
There is at least one tool seller in one of the buildings who sells
retail Also in 620 Cathcart is Kitco Products, a refiner that sells
silver and gold sheet and wire. This is also a retail business.
Enjoy your trip to Montreal

Hi everyone,

My sweetie and I are celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary by
going to Montreal for a long weekend in a few days. Does anybody have
any suggestions of places that I should be sure to go or see?

Thanks!

Cynthia ~ It’s not jewelry but an incredible hot glass artiste!

The studio was open to the public to watch and ask questions! No
affiliation, just a very pleased customer!

Congratulations and enjoy your long weekend!

Tourism in general:

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts took me two days to go through.

Musee d’art contemporain de Montreal had an audio guide that told me
all about the artists, it was like a Art History course for $6. Very
cool hologram piece as well which may still be there.

If Churches/Historic buildings are your style there’s always Christ
Church Cathedral.

Of course from my childhood Notre-Dame Basilica was always a
favourite, being in Old Montreal being simply a bonus.

The Darling Foundry seems really interesting, never been, but maybe
if I ever go back home I’ll give it a go.
