Hello,
I am learning to be a jeweler and I appreciate this resource very
much.
I would like to make a set of hinged Mokume Gane wedding rings for
my parents 40th wedding anniversary. I have purchased a 18k
yellow/14k palladium white/14k red, 6 mm square Mokume Gane wire. My
goal is a woodgrain pattern outside with a rounded inside for
comfort.
My parents are farmers and the rings must be sturdy but need to go
over very swollen knuckles. I would like to leave the possibility of
flush setting stones at a later time if possible.
I do have a rolling mill but I am not sure about rolling the Mokume
Gane and I do not know how to make the wood grain pattern. Will you
please advise me?
Thank You,
Juli Davis
