Miniature Bolts

#1

Has anyone used a source for very small brass bolts and nuts?

I can find stainless ones but would like brass for the color.
Looking for 1/8" or smaller, #0-80 or smaller.

Thanks…

Try Reactive metals in AZ. They have sorts of nuts and bolts.
E-Mail them for a catalogue-reactive@sedona.net

I may have one. I will be travelilng for three weeks, thus out
of touch with e-mail. Check with Frank Singer. You can leave a
message for him at 818-795-9422, and they will put you in touch
with him. He carries 50,000 types of findings of all sizes and
kinds. Very low prices–my favorite.

On the subject of miniature nuts and bolts. I have a friend who
molded a size 1-72 (male thread about 1.8 mm. outside diameter)
nut and bolt which he would then cast in sterling silver and use
as a design and structural element in jewelery. I saw these about
8 years ago but I remember being impressed by the fit and
strength of the threads although I don’t believe we tightened
any past the stripping point.

If you find the pieces you want in brass or steel and want them
in a precious metal try molding and casting them.
