Micro-Weld Machine

“Hi” Everybody

I have been given a S.ATO Micro-Welding-Machine which runs on
"Methylic Solution" as well a “Caustic Solution”.

I have the machine up and running with new "Methylic Solution"
and what was left of the “Caustic Solution”.

My question is “At what strength is the Caustic Solution made to
refill the autoclave every two months?”

My thanks in advance if anybody can help.

Hi Major, Sorry for taking so long to respond, but my provider
had a major breakdown. If your machine is similar to the ones
that produce hydro/oxygen by electrolytical dividing destilled
water (like the Hydroflux Welder), the caustic solution should
be a 29.4% solution of potassium hydroxide. This is operating as
a catalyst, so need only be renewed once for several years (mine
is running for 8 years now, with 8 working hours a day). Hope
this is of use for you, Markus
