The question I am not getting answered, why the secrecy? If metal clay people feel their material is just as good as fine silver and other milled metal products, why keep it a secret?

Many people are telling customers, this is fine silver, and the
manufacturing process is metal clay. Some customers don’t care.
There is no secrecy. Everyone I know who uses metal clay is proud to
use it and proud to tell the world. I don’t know anyone, anywhere in
the world, who is trying to hide the fact that they’re making their
jewelry from metal clay.
If you don’t like metal clay, don’t use it.
