Media for Vigor rotary tumbler

Hi Everyone -

I just bought a used Vigor rotary tumbler - 5 qt, 15 lb barrel. I am
unsure how much media I need for this size barrel. I have been told 5
lbs. of steel, 25 lbs of steel, or that I could mix steel & porcelain
to stretch my $ - not sure what quantities of each. Please advise.
Also - anyone know of good prices on Stainless steel mixed shot?

You need 25 lbs. of mixed stainless steel shot. Get stainless
instead of carbon steel. No maintenance with stainless and no rust. I
never had much luck with mixing shot and porcelain. Progresstool.com
seems to have the best prices. With gas prices it will be expensive
to ship, unless close to you.

I sell great quality mixed shot. If you are buying 25 lbs. I would
discount it to $18.00 per pound and using USPS’s new flat rate boxes
could mail it to you for $9.90. If your interested you can contact
