[MD] [Classes] Gem Cutter's Guild of Baltimore

Dear all,

The nonprofit Gem Cutter’s Guild of Baltimore’s spring 2014 class
schedule for April through July is now available at

Offerings this term include gemstone faceting, intro to lapidary,
polymer clay canes, findings 102 (fabrication), jewelry 101 (intro),
advanced riveting, PMC projects, coloring metal, wire wrap beads,
Tila bracelet (beading), Flexshaft 102 (intermediate use), soldering
102 (hollow forms), and marriage of metal (soldering).

The Gem Cutter’s Guild was established in order to allow its members
to gain knowledge and skills in gem cutting and in iden-tifying and
evaluating lapidary materials. We’ve since expanded our interests to
in-clude gaining a knowledge of jewelry and jewelry fabrication.
Through formal classes which are open to the public, field trips,
exhibitions and cooperation with other so-cieties, we endeavor to
further our own knowledge and that of the general public.

The Guild is located in Baltimore’s reborn Clipper Mill neighborhood
just off I-83 – near the Pepsi sign in the Meadow Mill complex where
the raincoat factory used to be. ;-))
