Hi Everyone,
It has been great communicating thru this webboard. Let me share about an
Educational Institution that has been setup in Chennai, India as a joint
project with the World Gold Council.
It was about May 97 that the whole thing started, a Polytechnic was
identified in South India and a joint project for training Jewelers was
setup.
It is operational now and there are about 60 students undergoing training
in various fields of Jewelry making.
I am in the process of helping them run this place effectively and I have
been associated with them from Day One.
All the machinery and equipment hass been installed tested and
commissioned. Now the process of setting up a reference library is in
process.
I have a request now !!
Those of you who have old magazines / catalogs that containg jewelry
designs and books, Video Cassettes, other educational material that you
want to donate may generously do so, to help an upcoming Institution. This
will go a long way in the bringing up of the Institution.
Others who have info on good books may also share nformation on where to
source them from.
