Love my laser

My laser went down yesterday, the shutter is failing. I worked over
20 years without a laser, but I can’t tell you how much I miss that
thing…even if it’s for just a few days. A shout out to B&D Sales in
Rhode Island, the folks I bought this unit from. They walked me
through disassembling and trying to fix the problem on my end, no
luck. So they are flying a guy half way across the country to fix it
in my shop early next week! Talk about extraordinary, above and
beyond customer service! I love those guys and would highly
recommend them. Mark

After over 30 years at the bench, and 5 of them using a laser I
changed jobs, @ 6 years ago. I went to a shop without a laser, and
almost immediately I knew I was lost at sea. I felt like my hands
were tied behind my back I missed that laser so much! After @ 1/2 a
year without a lsaer, I figured out how to buy one for myself.

There are jobs that the laser is simply the best tool for the job,
while others are better done with the torch, and I would be
handicapped without both at my bench.

I’d second that thought. And I didn’t even buy my laser from them.
Mine is a Siro Alphalaser, which is the same as the BD, except it was
sold from Germany (to a firm in India, from whence I bought it used
(Very used…) Even though BD didn’t sell me the unit, they took
great care of me when my old and abused power supply died last year.
