I bought a faceted aquamarine a few years ago at $1/ct. I think it
was about 11 carats. There was basically no color in it to speak
of, so quality was on par with the price. It wasn't worth cabbing
and only had its refractive qualities to give it any value.
What? Colorless Aquamarine is still Beryl and as such would be
Goshenite. Goshenite is not without value. It beats clear topaz,
that’s a fact. The late Jeff Graham stated he would price Goshenite
at a minimum of $38 per ct. So Ray, you got a good deal.
