[Looking for] Supplier for tourmaline and retail insurance

Hi all: I have a couple of questions. Does anyone know of a supplier of
blue-green tourmaline round cabs nice quality. I also am looking for
an insurance company that supplies retail jewelry insurance for a
retail studio space we are thinking of starting up. Any suggestions
would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for time spent.

My prayers go to all the victims and survivors around the world that
have been afflicted by the disasters in the United States.

Jewelers Mutual in Neenah WI is the best insurance company in the
industry. Since they only sell insurance to jewelry industry people
they know more about it than any other firm. For fine tourmaline cabs
try James Alger Co. in Manchester NH or Boston Gems and Findings in
Boston (they have an ad on this list–in other words they are helping
to pay for the list so you should help support them).

I have been personally buying tourmaline mostly in Brazil for fifteen
yea rs. I buy for myself and usually faceted and fine but sell at
wholesale to a few other craftspeople who appreciate fine things.

Thought I’d throw in my two experiences with Tourmaline:

I have bought faceted tourmaline from www.africagems.com. They are
very honest, and easy to deal with, and have absolutely fantastic
pieces. The prices are a bit higher than average, but the quality is
definitely impressive.

I have bought rough tourmaline from www.faceters.com. Very nice
material.
