[Looking for] Book by Adolfo Mattiello

Hello all, Last week in a post someone had talked about a book by
Adolfo Mattiello called “A Practical Guide for the Jewelry Model
Maker”. Does anyone know where this is available? I’ve tried Frei &
Borel, Rio Grande, and Gesswein, with NO LUCK. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.

Jimbo: It could be that the title is misquoted. I have a 1998 Rio
catalog at hand and it lists both “How to Create Settings in Metal
Wire and Wax” and “Wax Modeling,” 2nd ed., by Mattiello. The second
title covers the Matt extruding gun and weaving wax. Both the books
list for $20.95.

You could also try bn.com and Amazon.com in their out of print
departments to see what might come up.

The book is JEWELRY WAX MODELING by Adolfo Mattiello. You should be
able to buy it from Rio Grande. It’s in their catalog. If not, you can
buy direct from Adolfo via his website www.dumatt.com. It’s a very
useful book if you want to learn wax modelmaking in a systematic way.
I had the privilege of doing technical reading/review for this book.
