Looking 4 Custom Designer

I looking for a custom designer to refer people to. This person
needs to be able to work with a person of the phone and email and
will work with the customer till the design is right. I am a
wholesale gem dealer and I also have a few select collectors and
referls I work with but I do not do much jewelry making because of
injuries a drunk driver left me. Thank you for your help and if I
can ever help you please let me know.

Hi William, I have had some very good results working with customers
by phone and email over long distances to create custom designed
pieces. Using communication, photos, wax models and plastalinas, I
can usually achieve exactly what the customer wants, though it takes
longer than working with them in person. Please check out my website
at www.metamorphosisdesign.com and let me know if you have any
questions.

Best regards,
John

Hi William, I’m sure you will receive many replies to your post.
There are mmany of us who will be able to help you. I’ve been doing
custom design and fabrication for 33 years, and during that time,
I’ve had relationships with stone dealers much like you’ve
discribed. I would be happy to supply photos and such for your
consideration. Please reply off list to @Ken_Weston.
Please include a phone number where you can be reached. Thank you.

Hi, maybe I can help. I’ve done a lot of custom orders over the past
few years with very good results. However, my range of techniques is
somewhat limited (wire work, cold forging, piercing, easy
fabrication) and I work best with stones that are more than 5mm in
diameter

Check out my website to see, if it’s along the lines you’re looking
for

Greetings William, Saw your request on Orchid. I have a small 2 person
‘retail’ shop in Hilton Head SC. I primarily do one-of-akind pieces.
Being a resort island, I frequently have to send clients (out of town
tourist) an email with a photo of the wax design. So I am very used
to that. Currently have 1/2 dozen out of town commissions. I use a
digital camera that shows detail very well. Being a photography
enthusiast helps a bit there. I also have very good rapport with my
clients and have, at least a 98% satisfaction among them, (some
people no one can please). Feel free to look at my website.
www.islandgoldworks.com There, you can see I love my work. I usually
get up before sunrise with a project I can’t wait to get to the
studio to work on. I do everything from wax or direct metal to
casting to setting. Rarely does anything leave the shop for any work.
We have been at this location for 17 years…doing jewelry for 32. We
are insured by Jewelers Mutual We are rated with Jewelers Board of
Trade and Dunn & Bradstreet. And member of SNAG, and Jewelers of
America, among others I have a load of credentials, but will save for
when and if we do any business. Look forward to hearing from you.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I do a lot of disability activism
(my son has multiple disabilities) and I understand how much of a
challenge things become when you have any kind of limitation.

I do custom designs with beads and wire-wrapping - everything from
precious and semi-precious to stone and czech crystal. I started out
with some of my stuff in stores, but found that it was much more fun
(and profitable) to deal directly with a private clientel. (Being in
Beverly Hills and the surrounding areas makes that possible.)

I am just getting my web site up and would be delighted to make
myself available to any referrals you need. Send me your e-mail
address and I’ll send you some pictures.
