Hello I am already using vibratory tumbler for lobster clasps and after that I am using polishing machine with buffing compounds for final step. My problem is when I polish the clasps with polishing machine the clasps lost their brightness. Is there any suggestion for this.
I would suggest all work to finish your piece be done before using the vibratory tumbler. That is for last step polishing and shining up things. It is also possible that depending on what metal your lobster claw is that you are removing a plating when you put it on the buffing machine. Without knowing the metal involved it is not possible for me to be absolutely sure about the problem…however, I do suggest the tumbler as the last step. Hope this helps.
