Liquid pour of gold surrounding objects

I am attempting to learn about a technique that is used in a non
fabricated way. It appears to be an almost liquid pour of gold
surrounding objects. It has a waxy, plastic appearance but is metal.
I have seen it used to “bezel” cameos and to connect two different
carved pieces. It is a thick product and is often used with very
fragile items.

Appreciate your help. Judy

Sounds like electroforming.
