Call For Entry
“Body Ornament West”

This juried exhibition is a wide ranging snapshot of the
contemporary Western Canadian jewelry and wearable art scene. We are
looking for a broad spectrum of practice. We are seeking work which
ranges from fine jewelers’ precious gem work to radical and
experimental body wear. This is the first such survey of designer
jewelry and art jewelry in Calgary in over 25 years. The works shine
a light on the vigorous community of world class jewelers and jewelry
artists in Western Canada. All are invited to apply.

The exhibition, organized by Charles Lewton-Brain, Amanda Pawson and
Kathy Rawson will be presented in Calgary and Edmonton, It coincides
in Calgary with the Dutch Conceptual Jeweler Ruudt Peters traveling
show ‘Change’ and with Calgary’s ARTCity. Both will be exhibited at
the Triangle Art Gallery in downtown Calgary, attached to City Hall,
where the show has the heading “Format to Facet”. The exhibition runs
from September 16-October 30, 2004, and in Edmonton at the Alberta
