I’m considering a laser engraver for our studio. Does anyone have any experience with the Xtool F2Ultra? Specifically regarding gold, silver and platinum? I’d like to have something that is capable of handling deep relief engraving. Open to other brands. Thank you in advance for any insights!
The deeper you engrave the more powerful the laser needs to be.
Time is also a factor. The more metal you remove the longer it takes. That can be gotten around with a stronger laser.
I use a 60 watt fiber laser and would happily trade it in for a 200 watt if I could afford it.

Look at MOPA fiber lasers in the 100 watt vicinity. I have been researching them for years, but have yet to buy one because, one, I really don’t need it and two, the target keeps moving. I know that Neil has replied and he has a lot of experience with them. Good luck…Rob
