All, I just got back from five days at the Las Vegas Nevada Gemshows.
I attended all the shows with the exception of the JCK Show. They
would not let a lapidary into the show. All the shows seemed quite
well stocked with world wide distributors. Custom goods and mass
produced goods were in abundant supply. I had a great time and
managed to spend all the money I brought in the shows and not the
casinos. What most sticks in my mind about the show was the number
of large blue sapphires available in the 5-20 ct range. This is a
growing show in a city that is made for handling large volumes of
people. Anyone planning for the Christmas season should be there as
the supply is good and you will have time to manufacture goods prior
to the holiday rush.
