I don't know if anyone else caught this, but I got all excited!
Over the weekend I rented the recent movie "Metro" starring
Eddie Murphy. There is a scene when Eddie's partner is in a
suspect's apartment and is casually snooping around looking for
evidence. He moves a magazine, and below it is a copy of
Lapidary Journal and another jewelry book... confirming, of
course, the suspect's involvement in some illegal activity!
Pretty cool, huh?
BTW, a general review of the movie: not a comedy, but a pretty
decent cop action movie. Lacking the glib humor Murphy
typically provides, it turns out to be a good acting job on his
part. A few passing laughs, but definitely in the action genre.
Pretty good if you can stand seeing another cops & robbers
movie. I should clarify, Murphy plays a "hostage negotiator",
as opposed to a homicide investigator or beat cop.
Anyway, I had to tell someone who would appreciate it!
