Lacquering for plating

Hi,

  1. I am not so adept at controlling my brush while applying lacquer,
    and i tend to touch the brush in the wrong place. How do i remove the
    lacquer mistakenly put in a wrong area without disturbing the rest.

  2. I have read that after cleaning, the jewelry must not be touched.
    Can I place the jewelry on a tissue paper?? Further, if lacquering is
    required, there is no option but to hold the piece in the hand and
    rotate it. How should i clean the piece again post-lacquering.
