Kintsukuroi - Repairing pottery with gold

Not completly jewelry related but… Kintsukuroi is the Japanese art
of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding
that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. Has anyone
on Orchid ever practice this art?

Thanks for sharing that, I’ve never tried this, but after seeing
some of the examples, I might accidentally drop some of the fine bone
china :wink: CIA

Wish I’d known about this technique after I shattered my M-I-L’s
lovely Limoges fish platter.
