Keum-boo on copper

Santa Fe Jewelers Supply has a copper solder. I'll give it a swing
when it gets here.

Brian, let us know if this (Fos-Flo) turns out to have a copper
color.

I doubt that it will. In my experience, only the hammered old
pennies yielded a copper color, and they are tricky to use because
their melting point is so close to that of copper itself.

Thanks, Jim. Do you know which Fos-Flo is usually sold for jewelry
use ? I see there are several different varieties…

I don’t know which is sold most often for jewelry use but I did a
bit more research and found this page http://www.jwharris.com/jwprod/
pcubrazealloys/ I was surprised to find the listed melting points of
these alloys being much lower than I had thought.
