Karen Dell’Armi Contemporary Jewellery
Cardiff, Cardiff. UK
Karen designs and handcrafts bold, statement contemporary jewellery. Inspired by everyday emotions aswell as mother nature and architectural shape and form, Karen’s pieces are lightweight and easy to wear. The Serenity Collection features geometric shapes and patterns with an industrial finish achieved via oxidisation and the filing & finishing process. Inspired by Buddhist Singing Bowls at a time Karen suffered serious ill health. The Hope Collection features fluid, organic shapes and patterns with a every link being unique thanks to an electrolytic etching process which ensures a lovely, random, surface pattern and texture. Inspired by ancient lichens and mosses found on trees in the forests at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro during a charity climb to the top (5,600 MASL).
Karen’s new Spirit Collection (to be launched in 2013) is inspired by the flora and fauna and mountains of the Himalayas following her recent summit of Everest Base Camp on her latest charity trek.
