Hi folks, it’s been a long time since I posted here, but I have a
question regarding vermeil and plating.
My understanding of electrolysis and electroplating is that the
anode needs to be an element, not an alloy. However, I see some
artists using vermeil marking it as 14k vermeil. Is this truly
possible or is it a mistake to mark it that way? I’d like to
understand it a lot better…
