Joining Tubes

What is the accepted method to join: (A) One piece of silver tubing to another tube the same size diameter in a “T” shape?
(B) One piece of silver tubing to another tube of smaller diameter in a “T” shape?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I have used a perfectly round (not tapering) file for sharpening chain saws, to create the rounded surface on the end of the crossing piece. If the file matches the diameter of the tubing, they fit together well and have enough surface to solder completely.

If your tubing is larger, you can wrap the file with sandpaper to build up the diameter.

Thank you for the prompt reply. That seems like a simple solution and I am going to give it a try.
