Something to think about:

Read this in “EDM Today, Yearbook 2007” Re: Johnson Matthey’s micro
EDM activities in platinum, I thought that I would pass it along.

“A solid, 16-ounce sized beverage can of platinum would weigh about
50 pounds, and would be worth well over one million dollars.”

I guess that I will not be turning any bar stock from this metal. I
wonder if anyone has any idea of the volume of gold expressed in the
form of some common household item that would represent a value of
one million dollars. There might be an idea here for someone to make
miniature barbells for the rich and famous.

At current spot pricing, 2 one liter pop bottles would come in just
shy of a million $$…
