Jeweller in Brazil!

#1

About a year or so ago, I posted a question asking about employment
in Brazil as a jeweller. I had received some very helpful advise and
now it looks like I will be relocating to Sao Paulo, probably around
July,2005. Although, hopefully, I won’t have to rely on my profession
there, I would like to continue it. My question is basically what are
the chances of serious employment, or even to help teach some where?
Although I can get by in Portuguese, it is not fluent by any means
and I will at least enrol myself in classes full time for a couple of
months or so when I arrive. I am an apprenticed all round jeweller
with 16 years at the bench working in mainly 18ct and platinum, rapid
general repairs through to one of akind commissions, Diamond and
coloured gem setting ,Antique jewellery restoration and work with
Anciebt Greek and Roman coins etc… Anything anyone has to say
would be appreciated! Christian Wardle.

Contact Robert Lowe in Brasil. His partner is Geraldo who sells
stones in Sao Paulo. Between the two of them, I’m sure they can
introcduce you to the jewelry trade in Brasil.
