Having been in business myself for 15 years AND being listed in
the JBT, I found that the listing contributed greatly to my
benefit. For, many salesmen/women that were ‘new’ in the
business found me. Generally, a shop has their special vendors,
BUT, I really enjoyed having ‘new’ salespeople come by and show
me their goods. This sales force uses the JBT like a bible.
Besides using the yellow pages the JBT is their main ‘helper’.
Also, the JBT tells the salesman about the potential risk of
memoing merchandise to a documented credit risk. The forms are
easy to fill out and are not intrusive. DO IT! You will have
more reps…more reps means diverse buying…it all
contributes to success.
