Hi, I have been creating free form waxes for stones that my
husband has been cutting. Then we have had to ship out the waxes
to have them cast. I am now wanting to learn how to work with
the metal directly and avoid the hassle of finding a caster. I
am currently enrolled in the GIA Learn at Home Gemologist
program. Finding time for everything I want to do and everything
I have to do becomes a problem.

For casting and equipment try, of course, Rio Grande/River
Gems for equipment and possible purchase…but the less
expensive source is ZAK Tool on 47th Street in N.Y.city. Am not
associated with either, but have found so much in their
catalogues it’s great to have. Good luch. MMM
