Introducing - Vicki Embrey

Hi! My name is Vicki Embrey and I’ve been enjoying this forum
for several months now. I am currently enrolled in the jewelry
program at Maryland Institute College of Art. So far I’ve taken
courses in fabrication, casting, hydrolic die-forming, enamelling
and stone-setting. I’m still trying to find my niche in the
jewelry world. I am fasinated with moveable pieces. I recently
completed a functional mixed metal jumping jac kwith die-formed
parts and bezel set stones and I would like to create a series of
them even though they are rather labor intensive. Jewelry is a
part time endeavor for me as I have been teaching school for 21
years. I look forward to participating in some of the
discussions here!

Wow, sounds cool Vicki. Remember the “gallery” here at the Orchid site.
I for one would like to see pictures, Mike.
