Greetings. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a recent
graduate from the Alberta College of Art and Design, in the
Metals Program. I studied under Charles Lewton-Brain and others
to earn my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts. Now what? I ask myself. I
am working for Charles at Brain Press, continuing to make art on
a part-time basis as well as working at another job in order to
bolster finances while my husband finishes his BFA at ACAD as
well. I am proud of my liberal arts education and do my best to
use it in every aspect of life. I am a published arts reviewer,
and am striving to do more writing in order to make my wave in
this big bad world. My metal works tend to be conceptual,
sculptural and base metals are my favourites. I tend to
integrate fabrics into my metal pieces, and the relationship of
materials never ceases to be something that intrigues me. I plan
to go for my Masters next year in order to teach - perhaps
Humanities. I’m a firm believer that one can never stop
learning.
