Hello,
My name is Sue Hofer and I live in the Flint, Michigan area. I am
currently a part time student at Kendall College of Art and Design
studying a couple of jewelers classes. I am 53 years old, single,
and looking to apprentice full time with a jeweler here in Michigan.
I have had a little training ie. one week course at Connors Jewelry
School in Indianna about two years ago, and one semester at Kendall
taking two classes (one a metals class making objects of various
designs, some jewelry some not; the other a genuine jewelers class
doing more fabrication, sizing rings, piercing etc.). I am willing
to start out doing the “grunt” work ie. polishing, cleaning
castings, etc. I can do basic soldering, filing, polishing, and
know how to use the Flexshaft. Also, I just finished carving my
first wax model (a ring)and it gets cast today! Also, I am a
faceter and am willing to repair I really need work to
sustain myself, and am interested in any offers.
