An art major early in my career, 5 years ago I retired from a “real
paying job” to reenter the art world. I have been working with
silver for about 4 years, with obsessive interest in doming silver
beads. I have worked out techniques in doming that avoid creasing the
disc on the doming block when working to make a full half-sphere,
and have developed soldering methods for joining the dome halves.
This allows me to craft necklaces and other bead projects numbering
in the hundreds of beads. Those techniques, and examples of my
