I am a partner in a small retail jewelry store located in
Cambridge Massachusetts. We design and make everything that we
sell. We work mostly in 18k gold and 950 Platinum but we also
work in 14k, 22k and 24k gold. We occupy 500 sqare feet and do
between 6 and 7 hundred thousand dollars per year. We have one
bench employee and one sales helper. We specialize in fancy
colored sapphires and Lazare Kaplan ideal cut diamonds. I have
been a jeweler for almost 30 years (since I was 15) and my
partner has been a jeweler almost as long. We are both
influenced by ancient jewelry, flowers and animals and organic
designs. I also produce a series of whimsical outer space based
pieces. I have sort of created my own universe based on the
gems I work with. I have always believed in the sharing of all
between jewelers as it will only help the entire
industry if we all do better. We are members of the American Gem
Trade Association and believe strongly in the proper
identification of any and all gem treatments when selling our
merchandise. I hope this gives you some picture of who I am.
