Hi all. Here’s an interesting potential tent weight solution I saw
in a catalog called Sporty’s Tool Shop, sportys.com, item #10169T.
It’s called a Sand Caddy, and it is intended to carry sand in your
car trunk for extra weight in the winter and to provide sand for a
snow emergency. It holds 40 pounds of sand, and it looks like it
might be used as a convenient and relatively elegant tent weight. It
sure looks better than the PVC/cement weights I’ve learned to hate.
I’m going to check them out myself in the spring for the new season,
and will report back then.
