Here is an interesting way to make your ring fit across multiple
sizes.
This ring was brought into my workshop to be repaired.
These are Iolites, about 8mm x 4mm.
So my question is how much would you charge to fix a ring like this?
I can cut the stone to the right size no problem. That is a standard
charge.
But setting could easily have the domino effect as in the other
stones might be stressed and break and have to be replaced.
I don’t have laser or tig so how would one go about setting this?
And for the record, it is an eastern made, heavily rhodium plated
18kt ring.
I rejected the job myself, but I was wondering if there was maybe an
easier way than I know of.
