Insulated tweezers

I have insulated tweeezers that I use to hold delicate objecys
whilst soldering however the tips of them have bent outwards with
the heat. Can I straighten them again?

Sure, they are steel. Just heat them up again until they are hot
enough to bend back into position. You probably won’t even need to
harden them or anything; they’re just tweezers.

This kind of thing is why we need to read up on other metals in the
metal texts that are available to us. I know Tim McCreight covers
toolmaking with steel in his book. We need so many things at the
bench! It is handy to have the knowledge and confidence to make and
repair them ourselves. So, go for it! Not a problem.
