Instuction in metal fabrication - Los angeles

Hello everyone, I would appreciate any info available on finding
instruction in metal fabrication, in the Los Angeles, CA area.

I have already taken a great beginning level class at El Camino
Community College, taught by a wonderful teacher, and am now looking
for a workshop or class that will help me get to the next level.

I have been working on my own, and do love trial and error and
"figuring things out", but still get frustrated and “stuck” at
times.

I have heard that Cal State Long Beach has a good Jewelry program,
but the classes fill up very quickly. One may also apply thru “Open
University” (like day time extention classes).

I would really love to find a workshop, where you can work on
individual projects and get instruction where you need it, which
charges a reasonable amount.

I did take note of the nov 11, 2003 posting for the Jewelry Center
Adult Ed program thru the Baldwin Park Unified School District, and
am going to check it out on next week.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You All

The program at Loyola Marymount University appears to me to be an
excellent one. Any MASSC or Orchid folks want to chime in on this
one? I don’t know the specifics. (Classes for ‘outsiders?’; cost?)
