Inexpensive Wax Lubricant

Is anybody aware of an inexpensive wax lubricant (something that
won’t dissolve the wax)? Would this same stuff also allow you to
remove poured wax from textured surfaces? Any Ideas?

Vaseline always worked just fine for me. I use it to coat ring
mandrels for wax buildup. For molds, the same silicone mold release
spray sold by Castaldo for use with rubber molds works with any number
of other similar wax applications. The vaseline is different by
leaving a slightly thicker layer, so there ends up being a little more
clearance between wax and mold. Sometimes useful to help remove the
wax without damage. The choice of what to use for a textured surface
might depend on how deep and undercut, etc, the texture.
