Inexpensive wax lubricant

I have used silicone spray as a release agent for organic items
pressed into pink sheet wax. It works great. You can find it in the
casting section of jewelry tool catalogs, since it is used to coat
molds prior to injecting them with hot wax. Perhaps it is not as
inexpensive as you desire, but maybe there is some other more common
silicone product that could stand in for it, and be painted on. A
silicone-based hand moisturizer, perhaps?

Let us know what you find works for you as your experiments
progress.

Is anybody aware of an inexpensive wax lubricant (something that
won't dissolve the wax)? Would this same stuff also allow you to
remove poured wax from textured surfaces? Any Ideas?

I use the silicon spray that is sold to release injected wax from
rubber molds. Maybe it is not so very cheap, but it works great to
release green leaves that I emboss into pink sheet wax, which would
otherwise stick quite badly. Perhaps there is a cheaper silicon that
is used in auto stores or something? Anyone know?
