Contribution to Orchid

I am adding my voice to the chorus regarding contributions to
Hanuman and Orchid. I would certainly miss my visits with everyone
and all the that is shared. I would like to make a
suggestion though. The last time I sent a check I was surprised to
receive a very nice thank you note that arrived in an envelope
bearing exotic stamps. If the goal is to raise funds I, for one,
would be just as happy with an email confirmation. It seems that
expense is incurred in time and postage for Hanuman regarding these
thank yous and I would think that every little bit would help. So
how does the group feel? Is an email confirmation enough for our
records? Of course, for this to work we should include our email
address with the check so Hanuman does not have to go through
needless searching.

Protocol on Orchid

While I am at it I have a request. It seems that we have gotten away
from the practice of including a snip of the original request when we
reply. Sometimes I read what must be a valid answer but it takes a
while for me to figure out what the question was. Just include a
short section of the question at the beginning of your email answer
and we can cut down on some confusion.

Also, if the subject of the thread has changed then please adjust
your email subject header to reflect that change.

Orchid Rules! Karla in S. California

Karla, I agree. The cancelled check is adequate confirmation for
me, and I would vote to forego the thank you note from Hanuman.
BTW, it was an appreciated acknowledgement, but unnecessary.
