For real if you want to protect gems in a ring just get sheet of tp wet and wrap it around the top of the ring. Works better than anything else I’ve tried and it’s not messy and its cheap.
Thanks for your feedback. I have used the wet paper technique with both stones and pearls. And I agree, it works. I’m interested in the Wolf Clay for another purpose. I work with Argentium and I was looking for something to help prevent slumping when I’m working with hollow forms. Rio has a product that works, but the fumes are toxic. The Wolf Soldering Clay, according to Ronda Coryell, does not give off toxic fumes.
