I’ve decided, after a few years of futzing around as a self-taught
artisan, that I want to make a career of this. Gemsetter/goldsmith
is a recognized trade with the Ontario apprenticeship office, but I
need to find a master to take me on before I can register with them.
Besides networking here, what’s the best way for me to go about this?
Are there any particular cities I should be focussing on? What
skills, qualities or experience does a master goldsmith want in an
apprentice?
