Heat Sink

Thanks to everyone who helped with the heat sink problem. I tried a
little of everything and finally was able to do the job. One of the
things that helped was the following: Since the adjacent ‘leg’ was
so close to where I needed to solder, was very thin and had it’s own
soldered joints, I ochred it very well, and then took a piece of 5mm
brass tubing, and carefully ochered it both inside and out and
placed it over the leg, being careful not to touch the other for
fear of soldering it on (which I almost did !). Then, once I
positioned the piece in the small open kiln (so the body would get
enough heat) I used several locking tweezers wherever I could fit
them on. Whew–it all worked, finally! Sandra
