Gregory Kiln

I have been using a Gregory kiln for over 16 years. I primarily use
it for my youth and beginning adult classes because of your ability
to observe the piece being fired. The key to using this firing system,
is to keep your work to a small scale, and fire close to the quartz
elements. The Gregory kiln company is unfortuntely defunct, however
replacement quartz tubes are still being manufactured by G.E.

Hannah,

I have been using a Gregory kiln sucessfully for the over 16 years. I
primarily use it for my youth and beginning adult classes in
enameling on copper. The big plus to this kiln is your ability to
observe your work while it’s being fired. The key to using this firing
system,is to keep your work to a small scale, and fire close to the
quartz elements. The Gregory kiln company is unfortunately defunct,
however replacement quartz elements are still being manufactured by
G.E.
