Gold teeth

Hi Brian. I’d suggest calling your own dentist and inquiring of the
chance that those teeth actually contain very little gold. My
dentist long ago told my husband how little gold goes into them but
he doesn’t remember and I won’t be able to call the DDS faster than
you could do the same. Then you’ll be able to decide what to do
with your student’s heirlooms.

to my knowledge all gold in the mouth is 16 karat but it usually
contains nickel to make it more durable…not much good for working
and light colored if you cast Ringman

Ringman, Right about the 16K thing. But…Some years ago I cast a
ring with dental gold and set a beautiful pearl in it for a customer
(the customer knew it was going to be dental gold). The ring was
beautiful and she was tickled pink!

Actually, the dental gold was a joy to work with.
